So Hufflepuff eh?

ilovekashilario:

When I was sorted to this house:

I have nothing against Hufflepuff, really. It’s just that I’ve always wanted to be in Ravenclaw… I will get over this soon, I know, but for now I let the tears flow…

breastfeeding-I haven’t experienced it yet but I am excited. I have my own plan. And I promise everyone I WON’T SHOW YOU! I believe breastfeeding is a private bonding special experience.  I can’t stand seeing moms breastfeed openly in public. or moms taking pictures of their boob hanging out. even though it can be a special moment with your child not everyone finds it special or even beautiful. Its kinda like sex, people know you have it and its special you’re not gonna take pictures of it or do it in public openly. if you are in public and baby is hungry make sure you have something to cover yourself

Breastfeeding is not like sex at all. It’s like feeding your child. No woman should ever have to cover up to nurse. All that has to change is the world’s view on it. Boobs are there to make milk and to feed the children. If you think breastfeeding is disgusting, you go hide in the bathroom.
Bindii:
I do believe it has it similarities. I believe sex is about love same with breastfeeding. and yes if i don’t have anything to cover up with I will go to a restroom or go home. breastfeeding should be between my baby and I not the rest of the world. It just common courtesy.   I never said breastfeed is wrong I just don’t believe it should be a public matter.

What you are saying is that feeding a child is a private thing because it involves “private parts” Breasts aren’t designed to be hidden away. They are designed to come out to feed a child. It wasn’t until around 1950 that they shifted to a sex object. You feel this way about them because this is what society tells you to feel. If women were never forced to hide their nursing, you wouldn’t even have a chance to feel shameful about it.
You can have fun nursing in a toilet or under a blanket. Most babies hate being covered up to nurse. Would you like to eat your food while trying to breathe from underneath a blanket? Or in a restroom while people are pooing and peeing around you? No! It’s not fun at all!
Once you are a nursing mother, you will understand. You can’t just schedule a baby to nurse when you want them too. The only way to have a successful breastfeeding relationship with your child is to nurse on demand, whenever and wherever the child wants. So unless you plan on staying home for two years (because that how long the World Health Organization recommends to breastfeed for AT LEAST two years), the child will have to be breastfed outside of the home.

Like I said I will go home if it unsuitable for my baby also I will carry bottle with my milk. This is just my opinion. I rather not not show my tits to the public. Its also like changing a diaper I’m not gonna do that around people either. Besides they make nursing cover ups so that blanket problem won’t happen. you raise your child how ever you please this was just my opinion.

Trust me, I know all about those fancy nursing coverups. Not every child takes those. I’ve seen very few older babies (by older I mean, 6 months+) like them. They pull and tug and fight until they are free of it.
It can be your opinion, thats fine and you can do that with your child. But to say that every women should do it, that’s not cool.

this last bit, exactly.

I was lucky enough to get a Google+ invite not too long after launch. I’ve had some friends ask me what I think and here are my thoughts after two days of extensive use. The following is what I like about Google+ and I’m going to largely compare it to Facebook which is not only the dominant social…

I want to try GroVia Hybrid AI2s so freakin bad but holy shit they are expensive as hell. Maybe before she is potty trained…

If you check some of the resell places {diaperswappers, spots, the LJ community} they pop up occasionally- they have a very short rise so they don’t work for some people {like us, lol}.  also they come up on babysteals.com sometimes.

I had some but I gave them to my cousin. I don’t think they’re using them though, I’ll check…
